Valintines Day 2012

Valentine's day, a day to reaffirm our love for our partners. Romance fills the air and love surrounds us. Just like this morning at our home.

My wife is up and as I pass her we kiss, just a kiss no words exchanged. She is reading on the couch and I grab a cup of coffee and head for hole as we call it, the room with the TV. I don't close the door because I am going to be on the computer and not turning on the TV. I have to close the door usually because my wife has the same hearing as Superman and can hear the rustling of a tissue four miles away.

So I am going through my routine.......check email, then on to News Hounds for the Common Good and last but not least the Huffington Post. One of the stories on the Huffington Post that caught my eye was 'Rick Santorum Calls Protesters Radical Element'. So I click on the story and all of a sudden there was audio, the protesters chanting. So I started to look around the page for where the audio was coming from as I did not click on anything. All of a sudden my wife charges the room and slams the door

"When you are in here close the fu-king door!" she screamed.

"I did not do this on purpose it just started on it's fu-king own." I yelled back.

"You do it all the fu-king time keep the fu-king door closed." She replied.

"I did not try to annoy you fu-king dog ears woman....And by the way fu-k you and the horse you road up on." I yelled back.

So I finally found the audio, it was at the bottom of the post and shut it off. As I left the hole I started to whistle, as loud as I can, I Will Always Love You, the Whitney Houston's song that is playing every second all day on Monday, as I passed my wife, just to piss her off.

Real mature... she said as I passed.

I headed back to the hole and settled in. My wife was leaving for work and entered the hole and planted a kiss on me and said

See you later asshole.

After a while I headed to the kitchen and discovered a card that had 'Noisemaker' on the envelope. When I opened it it was a Valentine's day card. It reads:

Okay-so here's the truth about us. Our relationship is not perfect. We have ups and downs just like everybody else. We drive each other crazy and let sill things come between us.

But here's the other truth. We have fun together we genuinely get each other and I love you-I love us just the way we are.

Ah love...it can't get any better.

This is the song that my wife and I danced to at our wedding.
