The Olympics

I am into the Olympics and with it on three channels I am seeing events that you don't normally see. Yesterday for instance I watched ping pong followed by fencing. I have played ping pong but not like these women play. I probably would, if I played one of these players, would lose 21 zip. But on the other hand let's play a little beer pong, well all bets are off.

The next event was fencing, and as I watched I had and still don't know how points are awarded. Now if it was the fencing that Errol Flynn did against Basil Rathbone in Robin Hood, you know who the winner is.... the one that is alive at the end.

I noticed that after every point awarded the person who gave up the point complaine almost every time. I would think if they use the Robin Hood type of fencing you would know who got the point because there would be blood. There would be no questioning  the point.  Also there would be a added exclamation with the sound of pain from the point loser.  I am just saying it would be interesting.

A couple of observation.  Too much volleyball. I liked watching archery, I think it's that Robin Hood think again. Love watching cycling men and women. And yea it's mostly because I just bought a road bike. (A little side note, I have been riding and I have posted how I could not get my foot out of the pedal straps and fell.  Well it happen again. I was coming to a stop at a busy intersection and told myself to take my foot off the pedal. OK left foot comes out and I put it on the ground. And then I started to lean to the right and because my foot was still attached to the pedal it was gravity taking over and I fell.  There was a man in a truck waiting at the light who had seen me fall and asked if I was alright.  I said that yes I was good and this was how I stopped all of the time.)

Boxing was also very entertaining, swimming, diving, gymnastics all good.

A friend of mine made a observation about why everyone has to hug after every thing they do.  What's the story with that Jerry?

Oh well that's a couple of thought so far. TA TA For Now.

I would follow the olympics if they would go back to the all-nude days.

Men's volleyball could have lots of ups and downs.

The women's indoor volleyball team is smoking hot. Destiny Hooker and that other amazon chick--Foluke Akinradewo. Wow! She can tie my ass up any time. All I get is the regular NBC Primtetime coverage at night, so I never see boxing despite the fact that its may favorite sport and USA supposedly has a chance to medal in several weight classes. I'd like to see that but they'll never give boxing a chance on NBC. The women's gymnastics was great--love watching those girls fling themselves around. and I haven't seen one basketball game either, though if USA wins even one game by less than a dozen points, that'd be pretty pathetic.

Can't wait for my other favorite--Track and Field. Usain Bolt and the USA women's team should be great stuff to watch.
