Gee Uncle Willie you have been writing a lot about spin class.
That's right Timmy I am doing it for a friend that is a little under the weather.
I think you are wearing us all out with this every other day.
Timmy how would you enjoy me wearing out your nuts with my spin class sneakers.
Tell us all what happen in spin class tonight Uncle Willie?
Well Evil almost started to go off again tonight. Her Ipod was not charged up enough to use tonight, so she had to use the disk player for the class. But everything went off well, she calmed right down after a couple of inspiring words from your truly. Heidi was there and Mary was also in attendance, and she didn't leave early for once. Sherry was also in attendance as were the doctors. Jim was there as well. And Jim is turning into the spin class Dr Phil. He was holding court with a group after class assuring them that there problems will all be worked out and not to worry so much.
But the best part of the night, not for me but for everyone else, was when Evil, after yelling as us to pick it up and to quit being slackers and push harder, had to get off of her bike because she had a cramp in her leg. She looked like she was in a lot of pain. But the whole class started to yell at her to suck in up and quit complaining. I tried to stop them but they just laughed at me and went right on yelling at her. They finally forced her onto her bike where she finished the class. It brought a tear to my eye to see Evil in such pain. They are a hard group.
Other then that the class was a killer. It had to be one of the hardest workouts we have had. Not for me, but for everyone else. Well any who, come back soon.

Keep the spin class posts coming Willie, this was one of the best yet...
You almost never see the instructors in difficulty, do you? Tommorrow morning I'll take a class with an instructor I call "Mad Dog" (but not to her face) who gets up to do her running training at 3am so she is back in time to get her kids off to school.
(It's my goal to beat her this year in the city to surf running race, but that is another story).
Anyway, I have only seen her less than 100% once, and that was after she had lead three spin classes one day and was leading her second class the next day (when she complained her legs didn't want to work anymore).
I hope both Dede AND Evil are feeling better soon.
I am very happy to know that the "Dear Dede" posts are appreciated by others too !! Willie, you are making my day with each and every one..Miss you all and hope to see you soon...
Dear Dede,
Well Amy proved it last night that not only is she a sadist but she is also a masochist. In the last throws of the class she limped off her bike in pain and then because of all the conjoling she jumped back on and finished out the class full force. I am afraid for us all.
I mean whoever heard of a 55 minute race? That was just over the top...not for me of course but I need to worry about my cycle mates...poor Willie I kept looking over to see if his ticker was still working....I was worried..I mean it would have been damn inconvenient for him to go into cardiac arrest right there..I may have had to get off my bike and assist...and I also haven't finished his obituary yet..but that would be just like Willie to be inconsiderate and all in passing...
but enough of razzing Willie..Josh pulled me aside after class today and told me we need to be really careful with Willie cus he is very sensitive...at which point he became his bike boy and started wiping the sweat off Willie's bike...boy that Joshy I always knew he was a good kid...Anyway I got to thinking it's one thing if Willie dies of a heart attack because of Amy..but I just can't bear the responsibility of him dying of a broken heart because of me...So Willie...you ain't gonna get achy breaky heart from me no more...who loves ya...
Mary
Hey Mary you leave my Boy alone. Summer is around the corner and I want him to detail my cars. I think that Josh looks to me to be his mentor or life coach. Next week I will be instructing him in the find art of doing drugs responsibly.
Hmmmmm, Mentor, Life coach...you know Willie I think you would be good at that....I can see why Josh looks up to you...and I just thought he felt sorry for you and felt he needed to humor you...see it's that evil streak I have...But I am working on it...Willie you are a good guy. ..see that wasn't so hard...I may be able to do this
Anonymous this is a little advise to even things out at the race. In the words of Carl the groundskeeper(Aka Bill Murray) in caddyshack.
What you've got to do is cut
the hamstring on the back of her leg right at the bottom.
She'll never run again because her weight displacement
goes back all her weight is on his right foot and she'll run right off the road.
I added a couple of things but you get the picture.
...
See there you go again Willie...giving some good sound advice to another fellow cycler..you are so amazing...Hey Josh I don't know how long I can keep this up...it is making me ill
Well you guys,
You have yourselves to thank for the 55 minute race last night. All that fighting and back lashing yesterday got me kind of fired up. So I started thinking... Hmmm.... how can I make this a momentous occasion? I wanted to give you a challenge and Voila a twisted evil thought came to my mind... change the strength ride to race day! Right then I started smirking, plotting, and laughing my head off! Yeah, I'll get them and fix them good!
Well, it just goes to show you. My plans blew up right in my gastrocnemius! Oh the pain... the pain!!! I felt it coming on early in the race and I was able to temper it for a while but then those muscles completely went into a super, psycho, ripping spasm and I couldn't hold back anymore.
You guys were so wonderful shouting," Suck it up! Suck it up you wimp!" Yeah, I loved hearing that! Really thoughtful. Oh so kind, compassionate and caring. My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you for jumping off your bikes so quickly to try to massage out my cramp! Yeah, you all just sat there laughing and racing your little hearts out while the "wounded one" suffered. Didn't want to risk letting that heart rate drop below 80% to help out your leader eh? "Suffer! Suffer! Suffffa!!!! " you all screamed. It was pay back time...
Momentous ride-Yes! Great work out guys! It felt like the real deal. You were all so awesome and made me very proud last night.
Keeep riding!
Amy
And that ladies and gentelmen is why we call her Evil.
I mean gentleman spell check nazi's.
Just for the record...
Let it be known from here to lands far far away that I am not really "evil." I follow the Mad Dogg Athletics (aka Johnny G) guidelines pretty much to a "T." I like a challenging workout ( that has a purpose) with motivating music and my ultimate goal is to achieve that in every class. Last night I stretched the time factor a bit for "Race Day"-but I had an experienced and very fit group of roadies, indoor cyclists, and conveniently several M.D.'s right there riding along with us.
There you go. That is my disclaimer. I have fun posing as the "Evil Spin Goddess," but please note that I would never want to hurt anyone or see any one get injured in class. I am having a ball teaching you all, as cycling is my passion. This blog has brought us all closer together and keeps me chuckling all day long. You guys keep me sane and drive me crazy at the same time!
Love to all...
Amy
Your post brought a tear to my eye Amy (I don't know if I can call you Evil anymore).
Hey Uncle Willie thanks for the advice... However I will have to be able to catch her first! She walks about as fast as I jog.
It's been great reading all these comments from the Amy clique... which is why you have to get better soon Dede to join the fun in classes...
Yeah, pretty sappy huh... I had to though. You never know how someone will interpret things written on the web. You can still call me Evil, Amy, Nazi...whatever you wish.
Cheers!
Amy
