Donate

Evil is going to do the Trek Across Maine with her son. The trek is a three day ride to raise money for the American Lung Association. Now if you are a friend of Willie's World it would do my heart some good if you sponsor Evil in the trek. Just go to the link below and donate, any amount would be appreciated. And if you do donate I will promise not write anything bad about your for a couple of weeks.

Well done Uncle Willie, I have made a pledge.

It was only after I paid for it on my credit card that I wondered what happened if Amy baied on the ride. :-)

Hey Willie,
Thanks for the link to the site. I was feeling generous today as my brother in law already hit me up yesterday for a pledge for the ride but it is a great program and anything to increase awareness.

In my younger years I was a heavy smoker. I started when I was 14
(8th grade) and smoked until I was about 22. I decided to quit when I was biking home from work and I couldn't breathe on the trip up to my house. I looked at myself and said my god I am 22 and where will I be 20 years from now. So I quit that day after feeling so disgusted with myself and here I am more than 20 years later(I will be 49 on Sunday) and I feel great.

The trek is a great event to pledge for. Thank you Willie for putting it on your site. And Good luck Amy it is a great event to expose your son to.

See you Friday AM, Mary

A great big thanks once again to those of you who have already pledged on my behalf. It was so wonderful to see my total rise so quickly today. Now it doesn't feel like a such a monumental task to accomplish in such a short period of time. I am completely awestruck by your thoughtfulness and generosity.

Like I said before you guys are the reason I can live here in Maine and not go completely out of my mind. You give me a sense of purpose each week and I have grown so much as an athlete and as a teacher since I first started teaching indoor cycling. I can't thank you all enough for adding another "pearl" to my life.

Willie- you are a true pal for posting the link!

Sincerely,

Amy
