There is a new dog in the spin town, and her name is Rebbecca. I think she is from Booth Bay area but I am not sure, because she talked so softly that I could not hear her half of the time. Her music was good but the work out could have been a bit tougher. I think she was just feeling us out. But she seemed to be a very nice person. She was very receptive to our feed back.
After the workout when we were putting the bikes away I asked Mary what she thought, and she just rolled eyes indicating that she has a long way to go. So Rebbecca has a hill to climb but I think she will get to the top. That is if Mary lets her.
The one problem that I had was that we stopped the class at quarter after. We had to much time to clean up. And the worst problem was that we did not get a chance to piss off the income class of A-holes which i enjoy doing immensely.

Sorry I missed the new girl and workout on Friday, but I know that, in time, we will get her trained to our way of doing things...after all, Amy had to learn to adapt (or did she?!!) As long as the new girl doesn't adopt some maneuvers that we do NOT embrace (i.e. does not take pointers from other spin instructors for certain unmentioned and hated exercises) then she may be a keeper. We'll see...
Willie,
Just a warning... At least one person from Group Power is planning on checking out spin class in the near future. So you better keep the lips zipped after class or you might just have to insert one of your stinkin' feet in that old trap of yours. Then your lip will start bleeding and then we'll have to put up with more of your whining, moaning and groaning. Heaven knows- we don't want that, do we?
You guys should cut Rebecca some slack. You all were a tough and intimidating crowd to crack when I first "auditioned." I think I remember some sour faces- but that just made me try harder each time. Don't worry she'll find her niche. I'm gonna have to have a little pow wow with her.
Looks like Sandy might be putting in a request for some new bikes for the New Year. I told her I like Star Trak the official Spinning bike for Johnny G/ Mad Dog Athletics. If you guys have ever ridden on a bike that you like at another club, tell her what you liked! I mentioned before, that if we get Star Trak then we could be a "Spinning" Center and use the Spinning logo to attract more clientele and host continuing education seminars for instructors.Star Trac Bikes are comparable in price to all the other ones she is looking at. Having CE available would keep us all the instructors fresh and maybe we could replace some of those "unmentioned and hated exercise"s with fresh & newfangled ideas. Put your request cards in. They read them.
She also is looking at LEMOND which is another good bike with CE available. I have never ridden one but it looks pretty good too.
Gotta go- I have a spin class to design & and I need to fetch some music.
BTW Willie- Boomer is now peeing in my bed. Thanks for your well wishes. Santa might put a Republican bred Hungarian Viszla on your doorstep for Christmas.
Cheers,
Amy

Hey Willie....
I don't remember rolling my eyes at you??? Are you just trying to get me back for my comment to you the other day that the class is what you make it children? Anyway I told you I thought the new instructor was nice. Forgot to mention that little part didn't ya huh...huh...And I think Amy's right keep your trap shut or we will be lower on the totem pole than we are right now...which is pretty damn low.
See ya, Mary
