Is everyone waiting for the super bowl coming up this Sunday,I know that I am. And it is not because I have dog in the hunt, but it a chance to get together with friends to eat drink and be merry. In the pass I have had over 25 people in our home for the game. I would have many cases of beer and we would buy about 100 Sabretts hot dogs, rolls, and all of the condiments that go along with the dogs. We would make the dogs in the time tested way , dirty water dogs. This way of cooking the dogs is from the technique used by those small stands with the big umbrella, that you see on the sides of roads. The dogs would sit in this heated water all day with the water taking on his wonderful gray hue, yum. Well any who it was always a good get together with friends and family.
*Go Steelers!
* I have to pick the Steelers because I have a relative that was born in Pittsburgh and who is a rabid fan. And the other Pittsburgh fan is the Evil Spin Republican Goddess, enough said.

High Bilford!
Ahhhh ... we remember those Super Bowl bashes very well and we want to remind you that Joisey is the home of Sabrett. In case you decide to keep the tradition going and introduce your Maine-iac friends to exquisite culinary dining, we'd be glad to Fed-Ex a couple of hundred pounds of Sabretts to you. We could also send the recipe for the BEST Coney Island Chili to top them off.
Just say the word and its done or else just FOGEDDABOUDIT!!!
If it can't be the Jets or the Giants then we're with you ... Steelers all the way
PS Just a note for your blog readers: Wil & his Better Half will celebrate their anniversary this coming Wednesday, January 28

YEAH YEAH YEAH!!! Welcome to the dark site Unlce Willie
Don't tell Bennett you are rooting for the Steelers!
Spoken In true "Pittsburghese..."
"You'ns guys" better all cheer for the Steelers...:-)
I, of course, never ever talked like that. But some of my friends grew up saying annoying stuff like that. Painful on the ears.
Willie, how could you forget to mention Sandy? She is the biggest Steeler fan in state of Maine. She is headed to "the Burgh" this weekend as a matter of fact!
I have to agree that Sabrett's world famous hot dogs are the absolute best. I used to buy them at a place called PAPAYA KING on 86th and Lex. Yum!
I'm not waiting for the Super Bowl. I'll be watching a replay of the Royal Rumble tonight, does that count?
There is a fair chance the Super Bowl will be televised out here, but your Sunday is my Monday, so I won't be able to watch it.
Not that this worries me, I watched the Super Bowl 5 or 6 years ago and found the game incomprehensible. What with offensive teams and defensive teams, play stopping all the time etc, I was like a deer with no eyes. I was watching it with a mate who was keen and he tried to explain it all, but I didn't absorb much of it. And it went for ages! It was interminable.
Anyway, the point of my comment, apart from having a dig at the Super Bowl, was to weigh in with my support for the Steelers too. I'm sure Kurt Angle would be supporting them, and that's good enough for me.

Snoot, just think that football is wrestling in 5 second increments.
