It' a new year in spin class and Amy AKA Evil was right on her game. Your pal on the other hand was a little off. With my brother and sister-in-law at our house for the week it has been for me " Let's eat everything that is not nailed down." And to top things off I missed a couple of workouts and with the snow, no tennis. So put it all together and when Amy said "Take it up to the huff and puff range." I was in the huff and puff range trying to put my sneakers on before class. Well I made it to exercise another day.
The spin class was filled, as it always is after the new year, with people making new years resolution to get in shape. Most of the regular were there, Mary, Heidi, Dolly, Jim. Dede was the only regular missing in action. And it may have been because she is trying to quit smoking and may have locked herself in her cellar for a couple of weeks until the addiction is gone. Good luck to her, I know she can do it.
The class like, I said, was filled with alot of new people, but one women stood out, and why did she stand out you say. Well I'll tells ya. She would not shut up, she talked and talked and talked. I think she is one of Amy's buddy's and that could be the reason. After class she asked me if I ride outside and I said it's snowing and icy outside. She said she switches to her mountain bike in this kind of weather. Well thank for making me feel like a little girly-man missy. But I salvaged my masculinity when I told her that I do all my snow blowing in just my underwear. That made her back away and start talking to someone else. Your pal still got has it.

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
Hi Willie,
The "talking woman" was Paula. And yes, she is a friend and another endurance junkie. She has "the bug" way worse than me though, kind of on Josh's realm -but female & 20 years older. She thinks nothing of running a marathon, cycling a century, doing a half IM and rowing up the coast all within the same week. Her energy level and commitment to fitness is beyond my comprehension. I get tired just talking to her about her race schedule. She makes me want to crawl in a locker and hide. :-0 She is sweet as pie though, and I hope you didn't pull a fast one to scare her out of spinning.:-)
On another note, I am so tired. How the heck am I going to get through this class tonight? I feel like opening a bottle of Merlot and plopping myself in front of the tube. I have to get myself used to this new schedule real fast or you'll be teaching back to back classes Tues night and Wednesday morn. Ha ha...
