The Tour

Yesterday my wife browbeat me till I agreed to drive with her to Augusta for some shopping. There is one thing my wife loves and it is to shop. If I said to her "What would you rather do, shop or drive to the pharmacy to get my life saving prescription?" She would have to think about that for a while. Get the point, she likes to shop.

When she goes with her band of lady shopper, they have this route that they travel to cover all of the shops that they love to buy in. And it is funny when they all meet at our home. You can see them all salivating thinking about the day ahead, it's a little scary.

One of the stops yesterday was the big box store "Sam's Club". I don't mind this store, with one exception, that it is a Walmart owned store. I love looking at the electronics the flat screen TVs, the surround sound systems, cameras, and sometimes a electric guitar, which I entertain anybody in earshot with my rendition of "Smoke on the Water". So there is some enjoyment for me here. But with the other stores on the Augusta tour, 9 time out of 10,I will sit in the car. And my wife could care less if I sit there for between 10 minutes to 2 hours.

So that was my day yesterday. On the trip back from the tour my wife is in a state of euphoria,it is sort of like an addict who has just gotten a fix. With our car filled with all the clothes, shoes and what ever, she is a happy camper. I on the other hand, I wonder what we are going to do with a 55 gallon drum of baked beans she bought at Sam's.

Smoke on the Water done with a symphony orchestra is just not right.
