Pawleys Island

We arrived in Pawleys Island Sunday about 5 PM and unloaded our car, which was packed tight with thing we needed to clean up her uncle's home. My wife's uncle home is on a dead end street and is on the 15Th hole of what use to be the Seagull Golf course. It is now called "THE FOUNDERS CLUB at PAWLEYS ISLAND",well whoopty do I bet you have to eat with a fork in the restaurant now. I liked it better when it was Seagull.

Well anyway we settled in and of course started to think about what to have for dinner. After that nutritious meal we had at Bojangles on the way down south, it was time to eat a little healthier. Off to Sonic burger for a healthy bacon cheeseburger, fries and a soda.

After a bad nights sleep, we started to try and get my wife's uncles home in some kind of order. So we started to go through each room and pull out a bunches of crap and making piles of this said crap that we had to get rid of. We both were doing it for maybe 2 hours when we both hit the wall, it was becoming overwhelming. We both sat down and looked at each other and said it was just way to much. "Lets drop a match in the kitchen and leave." But we took a break and a deep breath and started in again. After a while we found that we just had to keep going and it will get done, eventually.

My wife and I use to visit a couple times a year to visit her uncle, and for me, to play golf and my wife to visit the beach, which is five minutes away. We use to love the restaurants in the area, so on this visit we decided to revisit some of them. but you can never go back, it was not the same. Every place we stopped we were kind of disappointed with some part of the experience. If it wasn't the food it was the place. Case in point the Litchfield Beach Fish House. Years ago when we use to eat there it was a real locals place. With it bare walls and colorful locals it was a neat place to go. And the food was always really good and fresh. We stopped in on this trip to find that the restaurant was redone inside, no more bare walls and no more locals. And now the seafood is good, just not the same.div>

So that's it for now, but don't go anywhere. Tune in soon, because the tail is not over.
