Evil the Skunk Legged Woman

Well Evil is back from the Trek Across Maine, she made it. But today she started to develop these strange markings on her legs, which were brought out by the black lights she uses in class. There were 2 circles around her thighs. If this is a byproduct from the trek you can count me out of that one. Any who the class was very strenuous and it was a good work out, I was sweating like a fat man in a cake shop. The only annoying thing was this buzz coming from somewhere, either it was the sound system or evils microphone or it could have been some kind of sound emitting from those circles around Evils legs. The spinners were Mary who showed up a little late, Dede who was a tad late, Heidi who was just a little late, she was talking to a friend, how strange, Heidi talking, Jim who asked to extend the workout 7 minutes more, thanks Jim, Wendy who did not stretch after the class, and 3 interlopers, a couple and a younger fellow who was peddling to his own routine. I don't get that why pay the four bucks and not do the routine. That's crazy city. Oh well a good work as alway.

Has the Trek across Maine happened already?!

Congratulations on your achievement, Amy. Hope it was memorable and enjoyable... Actually if you had as much fun as I do riding the Sydney to Gong I know it was.

Thanks UW. Nice description. I prefer my rings to be compared to " garter belts" that Jim so eloquently suggested after class. I wonder how long the sun baked elastic band tatoos will last? Hey maybe Polly or Diana have them too! It was awfully hot the first two days of the Trek!

"Trek Report" for Mr. Snootles and Willy & Co.,

Yes the Trek started Friday morning in the sunshine and ended on Sunday in the pouring down rain.

Day One: 65 miles Weather was hot and sunny. Very scenic and fast. We averaged 20 mph. My son flipped over his handlebars going down a long hill but escaped with minor scrapes. I was in front of him so I didn't see the wipe out . Maybe that was a blessing in disguise. He was really pissed at me because I kept riding. The next day I bought an eyeglass mirror so I could keep him in my sight line. We camped out at UMF campus and swam in the river with Polly and her buddies.

Day Two:60 miles. Again hot and sunny. We got a late start because we blew two tubes while we were filling up with air in the morning. Our legs were sore and tired. We couldn't keep the previous days' pace. it took us a while to warm up but we managed to average 18 mph overall. We camped out at Colby College and went swimming in the University Pool. I had a drink with all the Sherry and Cindy from the Tues night class. I ran into all the Doc interlopers and they said they were feeling great!

Day Three: 45 miles. Dreadful weather. It rained from the start line till the finish. We were drenched. Carl got another flat on the road. Luckily, the support vehicles showed up and changed it right away. Going down the hills was terribly cold and wet. Going uphill was preferred as it kept our core temperature up. Thank God they had coffee and hot cocoas at the rest stops! If I ever do it again I'm bring a shower cap for my bike helmet and baggies for my feet!

We rode in Belfast around noon shivering and sopping wet .Then some wicked volunteer lady started yelling at us at the finish line because we parked our bikes in the wrong place. I was ready to swat her silly when she started in on us. Sorry, I have no tolerance for rudeness. That was completely unneccessary.

We ended the ride with a delicious hot meal under the tent. I was wrapped up in a silver thermal blanket and still frozen to death. We finally changed surfer syle into warm clothes and headed up the hill to our warm house full of chaos and kids. Home sweet home! So glad to be back! Ha Ha...

All in all a great time. The best vacation I ever had. No worries... lots of exercise with crazy people like myself. And to top it off... a great time with my son.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING OUR RIDE!!!!

NEXT YEAR WE SHOULD ALL DO TOGETHER AS A TEAM!

RIDE ON!!!!
