Last week my wife and I were off again to South Carolina. This time it was to complete the clean up of her uncles home and put it up for sale.
Our thought was spend half the day cleaning and the rest of the day we would do some vacation things. So the first day it was into the worst room, the kitchen. It was 7 AM and it was time to start It wasn't just the 25 years of nicotine but also 25 years of cooking. So after a cup of coffee it was on to the job at hand. Using 5 or 6 kinds of cleaning solutions and 6 rolls of paper towels later it was completed. Ah but alas it was 7 PM and to late to do the vacation thing.
Day two into the bathrooms (Yuk). With rubber gloves and a new day it was off to do the job. We started at 7 AM again and when all the bathrooms were finished it was once again, 7 PM. What can I do with 100 pounds of hair?
Day three and it was on to the game room. With the 7 AM start this was going to be the day we see the ocean. Once again it was rubber gloves and cleaning products. This room I had to clean the windows and a sliding door. Well, I must have dislodged 2000 spiders from their homestead of thirty years. Plus it had to be 100 yards of spider webs. And a funny thing about spider webs is that they stick to just about anything, even things that you are trying to remove them with. We almost made it out today we ended the clean up at 630 PM. Maybe tomorrow we will see the beach.
Day four and our last, and we are really going to make it to the beach today. We only had to do a little more clean up and we could get out of the house early. We had made arrangements to have the carpets cleaned. The carpet cleaner had told us they would be there at 12 noon, plenty of time to go to the beach. They arrived at 4 PM and it took to 630 to finish all of the carpets. Oh well maybe when we sell the house we will make it to the beach.........maybe.

Thank you for encouraging me to have my shit in order when i die so my family doesn't have to go through what you're going through.
Make sure you get to the beach!
It's not something that we want to think about, but we should.
And I will make it to the beach.
