As moronic as the Tea Party comes across, I never interpreted their agenda to be against gay rights. They obviously have no problem with exploiting poor people; race-baiting; and using intimidation in place of logic; but I never interpreted them as anti-gay.
I would've never expected you to be that gracious towards tea partiers lodo...my expectation is that--in general--they would be anti-gay. Of course, this is a generalization from the tea partiers i know in my personal life, and what I know about their information sources, but I think it's reasonable to expect that they would be anti gay rights.
Well, I'm certainly not a fan of the party. But they seem to have a certain percentage of people who are strictly Libertarian w/out being concerned about social issues. Course I like a party to be at least a little concerned about certain social issues (like the protection of a nation's people against corporate exploitation for one); so actually, their total disregard or lack of concern on issues like gay marriage isn't necessarily a positive in my mind.
