We Are All Doomed......Maybe

Well the election is over and I am just now climbing down from my chair and removing the rope from around my neck. The American people have spoken and what they want is elected officials who don't seem, from what I have seen anyway, any ideas about what to do about anything. The big question during the election seemed to be, what are your going to do about the economy. And the lock step answer was "Cut discretionary spending."

"Well what are you going to cut, defence spending?

"No."

"Medicare?"

"No."

Social security?"

"No."

"Okay, then what are you going to cut?"

"Discretionary spending."

Well any how, it will be interesting to see how these new people will do and what they will do. I was a little bummed out by some of the progressives that lost, but then I thought, how are these new people going to bring the economy back. I don't think they have any idea. And another thing, who do they all think was behind the tea party agenda, just your average Joe. I could see that the people pushing their agenda were people like Steve Forbes, Dick Armey and the the Koch brothers, just your average Joe's, with no agenda at all.

Do I sound a little bitter, hell yea. If I could see people being manipulated, why couldn't they. Just look at the election in Florida. Rick Scott was elected governor despite being a former health-care CEO who was forced to resign amid a scandal over Medicare billing practices in 1997, and he barely met the seven-year Florida residency requirement to run. This from a electorate who are mostly medicare participants. One thing I will say about the right, that you would have to be caught killing someone on the late new before you could not be elected for office.

Oh well I'll just keep on hanging on and hope for the best. Maybe the tea party will surprise me and work for the good for all of us. Let's hope.

Just a foot note, these are the many things that the evil President Obama and his evil henchmen have done for all of us. Let see what this new group will do.

1.Averting a depression.
2.Sparking a recovery.
3.Saving Detroit.
4.Reforming health care.
5.Cutting corporate welfare.
6.Restoring America's reputation in the world.
7.Protecting consumers.
8.Launching a clean-energy legislation.

A Perfect Tea Party Candidate

This is what happened at a debate for governor in Arizona to Jan Brewer the acting governor. And a comment by Howard Fineman on the Kieth Obermann show, about the politicians of today. It's very interesting and very scary.

Here's the thing to gets me. we have the wrong paradigm here. you and I and a
lot of our viewers are thinking of candidates running for office, having debates
that they care about, worrying whether they're answering reporters' questions or
not in the hallway. That's no longer the paradigm, at least with a lot of the
tea party candidates, and indeed a lot of other candidates, democrat and
republican i'm afraid to say. In the age of twitter and facebook, in an age of
fox and independent spending campaigns, and in an age when most of the American
people are highly distrustful of the media in general, I think the tea party
candidates -- and I put Jan Brewer in that category -- basically try to make a
virtue out of not answering any questions. And indeed, her silence in the debate
-- that may be the new paradigm for how you to handle debates. I don't know.
We're kind of knocking on the glass on the outside. and the question for these
candidates, Keith, is it's September 2nd. Can they go from September 2nd to
November 2nd without dealing with the press?

Teabag Speak and O'Reilly Does Not Know What He is Talking About and The Sarah Palin Network

Bill O'Reilly was beside himself because of what Republican Senator Tom Coburn said in criticized Fox News several days ago for spreading fear and untruths about the new law reforming health care, specifically about people being arrested for not buying into the new health plan. Bill being right on top of things challenged him to name one person on the network who said such things, and Coburn declined to,eventually telling the host that perhaps he had been "unfair. Well it seems that lots of Fox News guests and shows promoted the false idea. As a matter of fact Glen Beck spread this lie right on Bills show on November 15,2009. And I quote "You know, this is the first time in history in our country where, just to be a citizen, just to be.. just to not go to jail, you have to buy something". On his own show, Bill you have got to fire someone on your research staff. And note to Bill, everything you say is recorded or transcribed somewhere. Check things out before you open your big trap. It does my heart good to see these so called Fox "News" people caught in a big lie. Oh happy days.

Media Matters has a list of Fox News guests and shows promoting this false idea here.

Bill Maher on the Teaparty Movement

I just caught up on last Friday's Bill Maher show and he made some comments about the tea party movement that kind rang true, with me anyway. And it was what I was wondered about, what exactly do the they stand for. Here is what Bill Maher and I think.
