Christmas Blues Spin Class

This morning is the time that I step over to the dark side, at the Y. It is the special time I spend with our gal Evil. Yes that pint sized purveyor of peddling pain, ERSG. And today she did not disappoint.It was her pre-holiday ride. It was her "Blues" ride, consisting of some Christmas blues.

Just before we started the workout and was doing some stretching. My ex pal Dede piped up and said" Evil,you know that Willie did a holiday ride on Friday using all blues music." Well cut my legs off and call me shorty,she flip out. Oh and she went on and on and on.............thanks Dede.

My ADD just kicked in. While writing this I am also watching a movie from 1955 called 'A Bullet for Joey'. It stars are Edward G Robinson and George Raft. There was just a murder committed by a organ grinder. Edward G is a copper, and he has the police pull in all the organ grinders in town and there are tons of them and they are all Italian as well. That must be a swell town. OK back to the workout.

After the flip out our gal got to it. She said last week that she was going to do this ride and that it was going to be a lite carefree ride with hardly any pain.........right. Well she wasn't quite up front about that. It was really hard and at the end I was breathing like Lassie after running 10 miles to tell Timmy or for you older folks Jeff, that grandpa has just fallen down the well. And to top that off, the bike I had today had a seat that felt like it was made of plywood. My ass was bright red,just like those baboons with the giant red and purple butts that you see on Animal Planet.

Well once again we all pulled through. And the class was full with mostly regulars and a couple of semi-interlopers. Next week our gal has got another Xmas ride only this time it's going to be light and it will be as painless as pulling out all of your teeth with a pair of pliers........Oh boy.
